The best beaches in Maresme
Montgat
It is the beach in Maresme that is closest to the city of Barcelona and is one of the meeting points for tourists and residents of the area. It is divided into three beaches: Les Moreras, Pla de Montgat, and Sant Joan and in all you will find fine sand and crystal clear water. It is a place that allows you to disconnect without feeling the distance from the city.

Interesting fact: It is limited to the north by what remains of the rocks of Turó de Montgat, the same ones that were used to create the base of the railway track built in 1848.

Sant Pol
If you prefer to breathe in the charm of the Mediterranean, Sant Pol beach is not only distinguished by the coarse sand and small rocky coves that make this small fishing village a unique landscape and the tranquility that you can breathe there. If you go to Masnou and you like active life, beach sports, calm waves and in general, movement, Ocata is the ideal beach in Maresme for you. Located next to the marina, this beach has a wide range of sea sports, spaces for beach sports and at night the cultural offer is very wide in seasons with more visitor flow.

Fun fact: Maresme beaches are not usually very wide, in Ocata there is an average of 47 meters of width which allows for accommodating more people and carrying out mass activities.

Premià de Mar
It is one of the favorite municipalities of Maresme, and has five beaches that stand out for welcoming not only the more than 25 thousand inhabitants of Premià de Mar, but also visitors who want to live a complete Mediterranean experience: Llevant, Bellamar, l’Us, Descàrrega and Ponent. On these beaches, you can find the contrast between tranquility and beach activities, which makes the beaches places to meet with family, friends or as a couple. The beach is quiet and there are no strong waves.

Vilassar de Mar
We like Vilassar’s three beaches, but we will focus on Ponent because it is an urban beach with golden sand and calm water. As it is a beach with just over 1km in length, it is moderately busy in the summer season, without losing its tranquility and connection to the city. It is a place to walk, enjoy the day and swim in clear, calm waters.
